Orange, spongy, massive mold body growing inside walls and floors. and out of carpet. Mushrooms with caps have been visible too. I also believe that I am starting to have health issues related.

Mold is attracted to warm and moist conditions, and the kitchen provides perfect conditions for mold to take root and grow. These spores are toxic, and sometimes as in the case of black mold, can have serious heath effects if inhaled. Even ordinary mold is a known allergen, and can cause allergic reactions in those who inhale them. To keep your kitchen safe from mold and mildew, read on.
Always keep your drains clean. Your drains always attract spores because of the dampness and the food that gets stuck down the pipe. Pour bleach or drain cleaner down the drain to clean it. A mixture of baking soda and vinegar too can help kill spores. Use lemon rind cut up into pieces or ice cubes to remove mold spores from your garbage disposal. Clean out your trash can regularly, and never leave it standing with food inside for more than 24 hours. Wipe wet surfaces immediately, and dry with an absorbent towel. If you have a carpet in your kitchen, take care to keep it dry. If there is a mold infestation on your carpet, they may be no other option, but to get rid of that section.
With just a little extra care, your kitchen can be kept free from mold spores.
